Our Total Care Facility
The Akron-Medina Veterinary Hospital Hospital was founded in 1965. Originally both a large and small animal practice, it was one of the first veterinary hospitals in the area to offer lodging and grooming. We now serve cats and dogs.
Our facilities have been completely renovated and expanded so that we can provide for the Total Care of your dog or cat. Our Veterinary Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic, laboratory, treatment, and surgical equipment to give the best possible health care. Our Pet Resort is completely new, allowing us to totally pamper your pet.

Lead by Dr. Steven Hicks, an Akron native and Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate, Akron-Medina Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort has a team of veterinary and pet care professionals that is well qualified to give your dog or cat the Total Care they deserve.

Educating the Community
Dr. Hicks takes advantage of every possible opportunity like the 2010 Akron Pet Fair, held at Summit Mall, to go out into the community and provide people information about keeping their pets happy and healthy.
